Welcome to AspireUSAspireUS is an interactive decision support system that asparagus growers can use to help achieve higher yields and better long-term crop performance by monitoring and managing root carbohydrate (CHO) content during the crop’s annual growth cycle. The system was developed in New Zealand during the late 1990s and has been adapted for US asparagus production systems by Dr Dan Drost in association with of the Washington and California Asparagus Commissions. The system was described fully in a paper presented at the 10th International Asparagus Symposium at Niigata, Japan in September 2001. The paper can be downloaded (PDF 197 kb) AspireUS has two sections. The public section contains general information about the system, and the secure section is available only to registered users. The system has been optimised for use with Internet Explorer, although it can be accessed with recent version of any of the standard internet browsers. Registered users can proceed directly to Login.
