Cost Structure
The annual registration fee for AspireUS only covers access to the website. It does not include root sampling to measure Brix%. The fee is calculated using an area-based schedule, with the average cost per acre decreasing as more acres are registered:

A $400 set-up fee. This covers the costs of registering the grower’s fields (there is no per field charge), setting-up the secure site on the web page, and administrative and overhead costs. It also covers up to 40 acres.

Additional area from 41 acres up to 200 acres at $5 per acre.

Further additional area from 201 acres up to 600 acres at $2 per acre.

No further charge above 600 acres.

The cost structure is capped at $2000 which is the maximum for 600 acres or more.
An individual grower’s registration fee can be figured by filling in the shaded section of the worksheet below. For example, the cost for a grower with 500 acres of asparagus is:

First 40 acres = $400.

The next 160 acres at $5 per acre = $800.

The last 300 of the 500 acres at $2 per acre = $600.

The total cost for the 500 acres = $1800, an average of $3.60 per acre.
